You Have More Chances To Win When Your Lemon law Attorney Claims The Compensation

Thursday, January 31st, 2008

By Kevin Bishop Lemon law is a state law of the United States, whereby the Government protects the right of the consumers who are deceived with a defective piece of automobile that is still under its warranty period. Lemon law differs from one state to another and like all other legal matters; there are people with specialization in this field who are called Lemon law attorneys. A lemon law attorney will fight your case against the automobile manufacturer / dealer and will help you to receive proper compensation. The role of the lemon law attorney Every defective piece of automobile may not come under lemon law and hence before filing any kind of case, it is wise to ascertain with the help of your lemon law attorney, whether your vehicle can be regarded as a “lemon” or not. In spite of varying versions of lemon laws in varied states, it is possible to form a general definition. A vehicle with a severe manufacturing defect (such as to affect its performance, value or safety) that has required repairing on more than four occasions or any vehicle that is not in working condition for 30 days or more within the first year of purchase, can be termed as a “lemon” and is covered by the lemon law. If you own such a vehicle, you are eligible to file a lawsuit against your car manufacturer. Initially, the manufacturer may try to pull the stunt by saying that in your purchase / lease contract you have wavered the rights by agreeing on a certain clause or may try to persuade you for mediation or even may deny any liability. After receiving the notice of denial of your lemon law claims, let your attorney handle the case. Your lemon law attorney will then write a letter to the car manufacturer and on receiving the reply (mostly a denial) he will file the summons and lodge a lawsuit. A competent lawyer with lemon law background and experience will help you to obtain a replacement or a refund for the disputed vehicle. Moreover, he will make the manufacturer pay the cost incurred by you on repair and legal fees, too. How to find a competent lemon law attorney? Though any attorney can fight a lemon lawsuit, it’s wise to go for a specialized one, with say, 20 years of experience in this field. The prior experience of handling the trials or hearing the similar cases enable the lemon law attorney to know the law thoroughly and to understand the concealed motives of the car company. You can find the reference of such lemon law attorneys in the Attorney Directory from the Resources for Attorneys, who also maintain a website. Moreover, you can find a lawyer from the recommendation of a relative / friend or can contact the bar association for a lawyer referral service. Generally, the attorney should not charge for an initial consultation but you are required to keep your chequebook ready for the following phase. Therefore before taking a legal action regarding a defective automobile do not forget to consult a lemon law attorney. Why Should You Lose Weight?

Wednesday, January 30th, 2008

By Kat Lively People begin diets for any number of reasons. A doctor may recommend weight loss as a means to prevent future health problems like adult on-set diabetes or congestive heart failure. A once active person may want to resume a favorite high-performance sport, and seek to lose a few pounds to better enjoy play. A person about to undergo surgery may need to lose some weight before being admitted to the hospital. For many, many others, vanity plays a large role in the desire to lose weight. An upcoming high school reunion, a desire to wear a sexy bikini to the beach, and just wanting to look and feel beautiful every day fuels many of us to try various diet and exercise programs and hope for the best. Unfortunately, saddled with vanity is another factor that may spur people to lose weight for the wrong reasons - societal pressure. Watch any television program, open up any fashion magazine, and you will be bombarded with images of rail-thin celebrities and models, glamorized by the media as the ideal body image and definition of beauty. True, while today’s top movie stars, athletes and singers may evoke an aura and personality people find appealing, it should be noted that the standards they maintain need not necessarily be held by everyone else. Consider the life of a famous actress or pop star - how many professionals are in her employ to keep her looking young and beautiful? Factor in a hair stylist, makeup artist, fashion consultant, personal trainer, and personal chef, and it is easy to see how one person can look like a million dollars. More than likely, a million dollars is how much it costs annually to stay that beautiful! Consider, too, that being thin is not always equated to being healthy. It would be unfair to say that the petite, size 2 movie star is healthier than the busty, size 14 rap artist just because she weighs less for her frame. For all we know, the rap artist may exercise daily and be a vegatarian, while the movie star gorges on junk food and lives a rather sedentary life. Being thin also does not exempt you from health problems - genetics can play a large role in your risks for heart ailments, high cholesterol, and low blood sugar. Consequently, being underweight presents health problems as well. Whoever said “You can never be too rich or too thin” didn’t consider that being underweight increases your risks for osteoporosis, anemia, fertility problems, and a compromised immune system. So why should you lose weight? You should lose weight because it is what you want to do for yourself, not because a magazine tells you to do so. You should lose weight if you feel the change in your body will change your life for the better. If you feel losing weight… …will improve your sexuality and stamina …will give you more confidence and raise self-worth …will boost your self-esteem every time shop for clothes and browse smaller sizes …will allow you to better enjoy activities with your family …will give you a new, positive outlook on life …then definitely consider doing it to benefit yourself and your life. When you do lose the weight, then society will benefit from your positive mood and improved health. But let this be a decision only you or your doctor dictates, not society. Packing on the Pounds

Friday, January 25th, 2008

By Simon Evans Americans eat too much. That’s no secret. But why? A couple of interesting reports have come out lately pointing to different pieces of that puzzle. The biggest problem seems to be our lack of understanding what constitutes reasonable portion’. Researchers at Rutgers studied people’s opinions of healthy portions today as compared to a similar study in 1984. They found that self-serve portion sizes have increased about 20-30% for some foods and even greater for juices. Much of this new attitude stems from what we see in restaurants today. The meal sizes, and especially the drink sizes, just keep growing. I remember when 7-eleven came out with the 32 oz. big gulp. At the time, that was a huge drink. Now it’s nothing to see people walking around with twice that. It’s very difficult to find anything resembling a small’ drink on most restaurant menus today. A recent survey of 300 restaurant chefs found that the vast majority don’t even consider calories in planning portion sizes. Most have no idea how many calories are in the meals they prepare. The just try and meet customer demands for bigger and cheaper dishes. A separate restaurant survey found that the average plate size grew from 25cm to 30cm in the early 1990’s, which can hold about 25% more food. An article in the Washington Post released this week shows how kids are bearing much of these unhealthy trends. The report states that kids, on average, consume about 165 calories per day more than they need. This creates an energy gap’ that leads to slow but steady weight gain. An average teen today is packing about 10 extra pounds and 1 in 5 kids are now in the overweight or obese category. What can you do? Some simple steps are to use smaller plates at home. Get kids used to seeing smaller portions as normal. Also, encourage snacking on healthy foods like fruits, vegetables or whole-grain crackers in between meals. This way they won’t feel the need to gorge at meal-time. Finally, don’t allow kids to order large drinks at restaurants. A single 12 oz soda has about 10 teaspoons of sugar. That means a large 32 oz. size contains 25 teaspoons! Imagine sticking a teaspoon into a bag of sugar and dumping 25 into your child’s lunch-time drink. Yuck! Of course burning off some of those calories with a little physical activity is a good plan as well. Ring Tone - Phone Problems

Thursday, January 24th, 2008

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Victor_Epand]Victor Epand Don’t be fooled by these network protocols. There are several ways to get ringtones unto those phones. Firstly; you can purchase the datacable and the software (Mobile Phone Tools) for the phone. You can get this at any phone outlet or even online. With this you can then create and transfer images, wallpapers, movies and mp3 ringtones to and from the phone. Secondly; you can purchase the Bluetooth Dongle (USB Adapter), and then use this to transfer your images and ringtones from your PC to your phone and vice-versa. This will all be done using the bluetooth wireless technology. Thirdly; you can go online and find some free ringtones that you like and then have them transferred to your phone directly off the internet using WAP technology. You can also even get the ringtones texted using MMS to your phone or you can even have them emailed to you. The first thing that you have to do to add a Caller ID ringtone, is that you have to save the contact on the phone and not on the SIM. This option can be found in the new contact option. It is on the same list as the contact’s name and number, etc. you have to change the ’store to’ option to store to phone and not store to SIM. Once this is done, you will notice that you can now enter a lot more information for that contact in particular. One of the new fields added would be Caller ID ringtone. Just select the option and choose a ringtone, then save and select done to finalize. These are the best options for you to choose from.If you want the ringtone and it does exist, then what you need to do is to give me the name of it or at least direct me to a couple of movies where it is played or something like that. Once you can give me this info and I know what to look for. I will find it and direct you to it. you can download ringtones to your mobile phone using a data cble which you need to buy and nokia pc suite which you can download over the net in nokia website.i am not sure if your carrier provides ringtones for download for your phone.that you have to check with your provider. The Mosquito Ring tone or as it is more commonly known as the “TEEN BUZZ” ring tone was hijacked from a technology that was originally used to repel loitering teenagers from shops in the United Kingdom. Inventor Howard Stapleton developed the “Mosquito device” for Compound Security Systems. This device emits a modulated 17khz sound that proves to be a great annoyance to teenagers or anyone younger, but leaves most over twenty years of age unaffected. It was marketed as an ultrasonic teenager repellent, an ear-splitting 17-kilohertz buzzer designed to help shopkeepers disperse young people loitering in front of their stores while leaving adults unaffected. The Teen Buzz Ringtone (also known as Mosquito Ringtone, Mosquitotone or Zumbitone) is a cell phone ring tone that is too high-pitched for most adults to hear. It is a constant high-frequency (14.4 khz) tone. Stomach Crunches Are Too Difficult-Help!

Wednesday, January 23rd, 2008

By Tim Webb I find lots of people need an alternative to the basic stomach crunch often taught as the ‘cure all’for all abdominal excess. I know of many people who do hundreds of crunches each day and their abdominal section still looks podgy, but that is for another article! Most people do not realise that you can literallywork your abdominals quite hard from a standing position. If you are willing to squeeze your muscles and breathe in a certain way you can get a decent, sweat inducing, core workout! ***Old school training is still relevant*** It seems that some of the ‘old school’ exercisesused by fitness pioneers and fighters in years gone by can still be useful in sculpting the body. The only problem is many of the simple yet effectivetraining methods were forgotten in favour of expensivegym equipment and supplements. Of course in some ways these changes are a good thingas exercises become safer. However, much can still be taken from how these old pioneers used their breath andbody to become fitter and healthier. ***The key is in the squeeze*** An effective way to give the abdominals a good workoutis simply to amalgamate an exhalation with abdominal tension. Repeated this can strengthen core muscles while strengthening internal organs. ***Safety first*** In my opinion a dangerous aspect of such exercisesused to be that breath retention while squeezing core muscles was advocated. Anyone with high blood pressure may be in dangerperforming such exercises. This can be remedied though by simply breathing outwhile tensing abdominal muscles to allow this potentially dangerous pressure to, essentially, drain away. Also, not utilising one hundred percent musclecontractions is important for beginners as doing this may, initially, be too much for muscles to bear thus leading to injury. ***Exercise*** 1. Stand comfortably, preferably near fresh air. 2. Inhale into your belly. 3. Gently squeeze your abdominals while exhaling. 4. Slowly increase intensity of the squeeze. 5. Repeat ten times. 6. Done with (careful) vigour abdominals will be thoroughly worked, internal organs massaged and stimulated, and a healthy sweat generated. Do this each morning for a month and feel how much firmer your abdominals become! Five Things The Mother Of The Groom Can Do To Make The Wedding A Success

Tuesday, January 22nd, 2008

By Kathleen Terrana Generally speaking, the mother of the groom (MOG) is responsible for coordinating her wedding attire with that of the brides mother. She is also responsible for hosting the rehearsal dinner at her home, a restaurant or hotel. If she has the time, resources, and desire, she can also have a tremendous influence on the outcome of the entire wedding and reception. If the brides mother is deceased, or her attendants are flying in at the last moment, the mother of the groom can offer to step in and be helpful in five important ways. Be patient with the bride, your future daughter-in-law. If she passes on your suggestion of a flower girl, in favor of someone you dont know, cheerfully accept her decision. You are laying the foundation for your future relationship with her and your son as a couple. The bride may need assistance in selecting a gown, veil, shoes and jewelry. She may be torn between a gown that she loves but needs extensive alterations, and one that fits perfectly but doesnt suit her figure type. An objective opinion is usually well received during such an emotional time. The MOG can be very helpful in addressing invitations, going to the post office, keeping track of the grooms relatives by phone and by mail. Wedding favors and place cards can be time consuming to prepare. The grooms mother can pitch in, or even offer to help select some of the more practical wedding favors available today such as: candles, wine charms, coasters, luggage tags, letter openers, and leather bookmarks. The MOG can be helpful if the bride or groom become too stressed out before the wedding. She can offer to baby sit any small children from a previous wedding, so the couple can eat dinner out or take in a movie. Or, after a day of wedding shopping frenzy, the MOG can prepare dinner for the tired, but happy couple. Religious Thoughts

Monday, January 21st, 2008

By Robert White Blog date 12-05-06 Oooh, two days in a row! Im on a roll. Well, todays article is on religion. BANG! Ok, now that the shock is over, lets begin so address a subject that is, believe it or not, near and dear to my heart. While I do consider myself areligious, it is nonetheless a subject of great fascination for me. I spent some time in grad school looking at comparative religions under the guise of world views. (Yes, once again, I have quoted myself) why take this particular slant on religions, you may ask? I view all religions as codified statements about worldviews. Who am I, what am I doing here and in what way do I relate to ultimate reality are really the essential theological questions. While I also believe that most people never ask these questions themselves in anything other than an amusing, light, passing way, I also believe that all religions evolved to answer these questions. It is the question that H. sapiens has posed since time began for him. Perhaps, it is the question that actually defines H. sapiens. One of my favorite anthropology professors taught an introductory level class in anthropology which centered around three ideas What is it that makes each of us like all other people, like some other people and like no other people? I put it to you, dear reader, that the characteristic is our self perceived relationship with ultimate reality (defined as that which is unchanging or fundamentally real). Remember from ninth grade physical science, all things exist in a frame of reference. That is the point of all those train leaving Miami problems. The answer lies in finding the common frame of reference. Ultimate reality then can be misunderstood as one frame of reference for everything else. Here is where things get tricky. If, ultimate reality is to be thought of as a frame of reference, then what other relationships can it have with everything else? The answer is none. Any relationship in any way imaginable changes ultimate reality, therefore rendering it not unchangeable. If it is changeable, then, by definition, it is not ultimate reality. This leads to the conclusion that prayer and worship from the point of view of God being ultimate reality are meaningless. God (capital G, remember, the unchanging and permanent part of everything) not only cannot want anything, it cannot be pleased, appeased, angered, disappointed or any other human mind set, emotion or thought. What then, is the purpose of prayer and worship? To the question of prayer, I would say introspection, meditation and focus. To the question of worship, I would only say for the greatest majority of mankind, self delusion. A very few will see worship of ultimate reality as worship (veneration) of that ability in all of us to aspire to the truth in ultimate reality, and to see past the failings of human perception. I am not really talking here about social relativism, except in the sense that reality is ALWAYS more complicated and our worldview is NEVER adequate to encompass ALL the nuances in ANY given situation. Religions then, have the primary function of steering the masses toward the conclusions that those few have worked out through a lifetime of thought, meditation/prayer, and introspection.
